★★★★★  Precision and ease
Post date : Sunday, Oct 13 2019

I bought these pens to paint rocks with my 5 year old. The initial flow when you first use the pen is a but much, so definitely recommend starting it on something other than your project. After that, you're good to go. Great for detailed work, writing, and a nice assortment of colors. We will certainly be purchasing again.

★★★★★  so smooth
Post date : Sunday, Oct 13 2019

they are really easy to use, good flow as long as you shake them up now and again. tip: never start the pen on your project as the paint may puddle when you first push down on the pen. also put cap on pen when shaking as there may be some tiny bits of splashing). I feel confident that these paint pens will serve me well in many projects including multi-media art. i have friends who swear by them. when ive used them for a longer period i will probably feel the same.

★★★★★  A little pricey, but worth it.
Post date : Tuesday, Aug 27 2019

These pens work if used properly. These, like other acrylic paint pens, require a little bit of prep before you use them. First, you want to gently press the nib inward, then you want to gently depress the nib several times (again, gently) until paint fills it. Use a pen improperly, no matter the brand, and you will get paint blobs. A gentle hand and patience are the two magic tools here. When it comes to ease, Posca paint pens are just like holding a pen or a pencil. If you can do that, you'll be successful with these! They're very comfortable to hold in my hand and draw or write with. The flow of the paint is nice, and the colors are very vibrant and do no require more than one coat. I cannot speak of longevity, just yet, but depending on what you're painting with these, you should probably use some sort of sealer. The only thing I do not like about these markers is that they eat paper, it's not a big deal, certainly not a deal breaker for me, but it's definitely something I thought should be mentioned. These would make a great gift for yourself, or for the artists in your life.

★★★★★  I'm obsessed
Post date : Sunday, Jun 23 2019

I've been using paint markers for years. I always went for elmers, hobby lobby's off brand or sharpie brand. These blow every other paint marker out of the water! Wow...I'm very impressed. The color comes out in seconds, vs. every other brand it takes about a minute to get the color flow. The colors are gorgeous & vibrant. I will definitely be buying ONLY these from now on. The elmers brand the tip likes to fall out, which is not good while you are working on a painting! If you are questioning buying these, I highly suggest these! I'm hooked. I attached a picture of some mini bookmarks I painted using only these markers so you can see how awesome they are!

★★★★★  Good markers, but Fine Point and Extra Fine Point is basically the same.
Post date : Monday, Jun 17 2019

Bought these along with the Extra Fine Point set of 12. As with the Extra Fine Point markers, these Fine Points have a smooth application and are nice and opaque, but honestly, there isn't too much of a difference between the line weight of the Fine Point and the Extra Fine Point. I primed every marker when I first got them, and the lines I made with the Fine Point and the Extra Fine Point are indistinguishable from each other. Kinda makes me wish I had just got a box of the Fine Points and a box of Medium Point or Bold Point. It's weird because the nibs are clearly different, but the weight of the lines come out the same every time. They're still great markers, but I feel like I bought two boxes of the same kind of marker.

★★★★★  Posca pens are awesome..
Post date : Tuesday, Jun 11 2019

Posca pens are awesome...plain & simple. I will re-interate what someone else said about using ANY kind of paint pen because I think this is invaluable information. PAINT PENS LEAK IF NOT STARTED PROPERLY!!!! Many people complain of paint pens leaking big blobs after the fist couple of uses. It's a real issue! Here's the trick (at least as far as I know)... SHAKE THE PEN LIKE CRAZY. HOLD THE PEN UPRIGHT . PUT IT UP TO YOUR EAR, THEN HOLD DOWN THE NIB WITH YOUR FINGER TIP OR FINGER NAIL. YOU WILL HEAR A LITTLE CLICK & HISS. HOLD IT DOWN FOR 10 SECONDS. (Yes, count to 10 SLOWLY.) THEN FLIP THE PEN AND VERY GRADUALLY WORK THE PAINT INTO THE FRESH NIB BY PRESSING DOWN HALF WAY. BE GENTLE. BE PATIENT. LITTLE PRESSES UNTIL YOU SEE THE PAINT HAS FILLED THE NIB AND PAINT IS SHOWING UP FULL COLOR ON YOUR PAPER. Voila! That is it. Now the pen shouldn't "blob"!

★★★★★  Love them!!
Post date : Wednesday, Jun 5 2019

Just like my other Posca paint pens, these are bright, vivid colors that work on just about every medium you apply them to. My set is complete and I can't wait to get started using them on hope rocks and greeting cards. (To bring the paint down into the nib, shake pen to the count of 10, then press nib repeatedly into paper until you see the paint. I didn't know this with my first set and thought they were duds.)

★★★★★  Best for painting rocks!
Post date : Wednesday, May 29 2019

These Uni-Posca paint pens are absolutely the best for rock painting for kids or adults. Everyone loves them and they create more detailed, interesting designs than with paint brushes. The paint also dries quickly. I suggest that they use a brush and acrylic paint if they want to paint a background on the rock and let it dry. Otherwise, they use a lot of the pen paint to cover the rock. We do our 'Kindness Rocks" in a beach community, so rocks are plentiful. I suggest "palm sized" are best, but some kids or adults like larger rocks. Even with our 3 hour workshops a few times a week I am amazed at how long these pens last! They are amazing. The choice of fine or medium seems to work best.
